In France, a new school and educational reform raised emotions in 2012/2013. "Refondons l`école" - "Let`s re-establish school", that was the name of the project initiated by French president François Hollande and former Minister for Education Vincent Peillon (05/2012 - 03/2014).

In March 2015, the new French minister for education, Najat Vallaud-Belkacem (starting in August 2014), then followed by planning a reform of the socalled "collège", a form of high school, following primary school in France.
